Roland-Garros: Nishioka ends Seyboth Wild’s run
Yoshihito Nishioka beat Thiago Seyboth Wild 3-6, 7-6 (8), 2-6, 6-4, 6-0 on Saturday. He’ll face the winner of the match between Croat Borna Coric, the No 15 seed, and Argentinian Tomas Martin Etcheverry in the next round

Japanese Yoshihito Nishioka, the No 27 seed, won against Brazilian qualifier Thiago Seyboth Wild 3-6, 7-6 (8), 2-6, 6-4, 6-0 to reach the last 16 of Roland-Garros at Stade Roland-Garros in Paris on Saturday.
Nishioka, ranked No 33, will face the winner of the match between Croat Borna Coric, the No 15 seed, and Argentinian Tomas Martin Etcheverry next.
Nishioka will take Daniil Medvedev’s place in the lower part of the draw, the world No. 2 having lost at first round against Thiago Seyboth Wild. The Brazilian, ranked No 172, beat Russian Daniil Medvedev, the second seed (7-6 (5), 6-7 (6), 2-6, 6-3, 6-4) and Guido Pella (6-3, 3-6, 6-4, 6-3).
The Japanese rallied to beat American J.J. Wolf (1-6, 3-6, 6-4, 6-3, 6-3) and edged out Australian Max Purcell (4-6, 6-2, 7-5, 6-4) in the previous rounds. He will be ranked around the 130th place in the next ATP rankings.
