Roland-Garros: Navarro advances to second round
Emma Navarro won against Zeynep Sonmez 6-2, 6-0 on Tuesday evening and will face the winner of the match between Italian qualifier Sara Errani and Slovak Anna Karolina Schmiedlova in the next round

American Emma Navarro, the No 22 seed, advanced to the second round of Roland-Garros by beating qualifier Zeynep Sonmez 6-2, 6-0 at Roland-Garros in Paris on Tuesday evening.
Navarro, ranked No 24, will play the winner of the match between Italian qualifier Sara Errani and Slovak Anna Karolina Schmiedlova next.
