Roland-Garros: Musetti thrashes Shevchenko to cruise into third round

Italian Lorenzo Musetti, the No 17 seed, won against Russian Alexander Shevchenko 6-1, 6-1, 6-2 to reach the third round of Roland-Garros at Stade Roland-Garros in Paris on Wednesday evening.

Musetti, ranked No 18, will play No 14 seed Cameron Norrie next.

Ahead of his victory, the 21-year-old Italian beat Swede Mikael Ymer (7-5, 6-2, 6-4).

Shevchenko, ranked No 87, edged out German Oscar Otte (7-5, 4-6, 6-1, 7-6 (2)) in the previous round.
