Roland-Garros: Rabat champion Martina Trevisan wins sixth match in a row to reach second round
Martina Trevisan won the WTA event in Rabat on Saturday and is now through to the second round of Roland-Garros
Italy’s Martina Trevisan scored a comprehensive straight sets win over Britain’s Harriet Dart to move into the second round of Roland-Garros for the third year in a row.
Trevisan, ranked No 59, came into the French Open having won the WTA event in Rabat, Morocca over the weekend. With today’s win, she is on a six-match winning streak.
Martina Trevisan will next meet Pole Magda Linette, who upset sixth seed Ons Jabeur in the first round on Sunday. The Italian is playing in her third main draw at the French Open, having reached the quarter-finals in 2020 and the second round in 2021.
