Roland-Garros: Kerber saves match points against Frech to reach second round

German Angelique Kerber, the No 21 seed, reached the second round of Roland-Garros by saving match points to edge out Pole Magdalena Frech 2-6, 6-3, 7-5 in Paris on Monday evening.
Kerber, ranked No 17, will play French wildcard Elsa Jacquemot next.
