Roland-Garros: Hurkacz survives major scare to beat Griekspoor in five-set epic

Hubert Hurkacz, the No 13 seed, defeated Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor 6-3, 5-7, 6-7 (13), 7-6 (5), 6-4 to advance to the third round of Roland-Garros.

Hurkacz, ranked No 14, will face Peruvian Juan Pablo Varillas next.

Ahead of his victory, the Pole won against Belgian David Goffin (6-3, 5-7, 6-4, 2-6, 6-4).

Griekspoor, ranked No 39, won against Spanish qualifier Pedro Martinez (6-4, 2-6, 0-6, 7-5, 6-3) in the previous round.
