Roland-Garros: Hurkacz gets over second round hump to reach round of 32 in Paris for the first time
Hubert Hurkacz beats Marco Cecchinato 6-1, 6-4, 6-2 to set up a third round showdown against David Goffin at the French Open
Poland’s Hubert Hurkacz, the No 12 seed, advanced to the third round of Roland-Garros by beating Italian Marco Cecchinato 6-1, 6-4, 6-2 in Paris on Thursday afternoon.
This is the first time in five attempts that Hurkacz has gone through to the third round at the French Open.
