Roland-Garros: Dimitrov sees off tricky Bergs to make fourth round

Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov, the No 10 seed, edged out Belgian qualifier Zizou Bergs 6-3, 7-6 (4), 4-6, 6-4 to move into the last 16 of Roland-Garros in Paris on Saturday evening.

Dimitrov, ranked No 10, will face Pole Hubert Hurkacz, the No 8 seed, next.

Ahead of his victory, the 33-year-old Bulgarian beat American Aleksandar Kovacevic (6-4, 6-3, 6-4) and Hungarian Fabian Marozsan (6-0, 6-3, 6-4).

Bergs, ranked No 104, won against Chilean Alejandro Tabilo, the No 24 seed (3-6, 7-6 (5), 6-2, 6-2) and German Maximilian Marterer (3-6, 6-3, 6-1, 6-3) in the previous rounds of the Roland-Garros 2024.
