Cerundolo into last 16 in Paris, could face Djokovic
Francisco Cerundolo recovered from a slow start to beat Tommy Paul in four sets on Saturday at Roland-Garros. Cerundolo will meet either Novak Djokovic or Lorenzo Musetti in the fourth round.
Argentinian Francisco Cerundolo, the No 23 seed, advanced to the last 16 at Roland-Garros by overcoming American Tommy Paul, the No 14 seed, 3-6, 6-3, 6-3, 6-2 on Saturday night.
Cerundolo, ranked No 27, will face the winner of the match between Serb Novak Djokovic, the top seed, and Italian Lorenzo Musetti, the No 30 seed.
Cerundolo previously defeated German Yannick Hanfmann (6-3, 6-3, 6-4) and Austrian qualifier Filip Misolic (6-2, 7-6 (2), 6-0).
Paul, ranked No 14 earned his place in the last 32 with victories over Argentinian Pedro Cachin (6-2, 6-3, 6-1) and Italian Fabio Fognini (6-1, 6-0, 6-2).
