Roland-Garros: Bergs reaches third round

Belgian qualifier Zizou Bergs reached the third round of Roland-Garros by winning against German Maximilian Marterer 3-6, 6-3, 6-1, 6-3 in Paris.

Bergs, ranked No 104, will play Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov, the No 10 seed, next.

In the previous round of the Roland-Garros 2024, the Belgian beat Chilean Alejandro Tabilo, the No 24 seed (3-6, 7-6 (5), 6-2, 6-2).

Marterer, ranked No 101, defeated Australian Jordan Thompson (6-3, 6-2, 6-0) in the previous round of the Roland-Garros 2024.
