Roland-Garros: Avanesyan beats Blinokva to move into third round

Elina Avanesyan moved into the third round of Roland-Garros by beating Anna Blinkova 6-3, 6-0 in Paris.

Avanesyan, ranked No 70, will face the winner of the match between Chinese Qinwen Zheng, the No 7 seed, and German Tamara Korpatsch next.

In the previous round, Elina Avanesyan beat Chinese Lin Zhu (6-2, 6-4).

Blinkova, ranked No 55, edged out Romanian Sorana Cirstea, the No 28 seed (6-3, 3-6, 7-6 (5)) during the first round.
