Roland-Garros: Andreeva sprints past Stearns into fourth round
Mirra Andreeva makes quick work of Peyton Stearns at Roland-Garros on Saturday. Andreeva will battle Varvara Gracheva for a place in the quarter-finals.

Mirra Andreeva beat Peyton Stearns 6-2, 6-1 in the Roland-Garros third round on Saturday evening. Andreeva needed only one hour and 17 minutes to advance.
The 17-year-old Russian, who is ranked No 38, will play Frenchwoman Varvara Gracheva in the last 16. Ahead of Saturday’s victory she defeated American Emina Bektas (6-2, 6-3) and edged out Belarusian Victoria Azarenka, the No 19 seed (6-3, 3-6, 7-5).
Stearns, ranked No 62, beat Croatian qualifier Lucija Ciric Bagaric (6-3, 6-7 (8), 7-6 (6)) and Russian Daria Kasatkina, the No 10 seed (7-5, 6-2) earlier in the tournament.
