Rio Open: Djere advances to second round
Laslo Djere benefited from the abandonment of Facundo Bagnis (6-2, 3-2) on Monday night. He’ll play the winner of the match between Serb Dusan Lajovic and Argentinian Diego Schwartzman, the No 5 seed, in the next round
Serb Laslo Djere reached the second round of the Rio Open when Argentinian qualifier Facundo Bagnis retired at the Jockey Club Brasileiro in Rio de Janeiro on Monday night.
Djere, ranked No 57, led 6-2, 3-2 when Bagnis, ranked No 87, pulled out on Monday night at the Jockey Club Brasileiro in Rio de Janeiro.
The Serb will face the winner of the match between Serb Dusan Lajovic and Argentinian Diego Schwartzman, the No 5 seed, next.
