The Orange Bowl takes place in Miami-Dade County in Plantation, Florida — specifically at The Frank Veltri Tennis Center.
What time of year is the Orange Bowl held?
Since its first edition in 1947, this tournament has taken place every year at the same time: early December.
How old do you have to be to participate?
Since 1962, the tournament has been played in four age groups: players 12 and under, 14 and under, 16 and under, and 18 and under. The latter age group – 18 and under – always garners the most attention.
Will the 2020 edition take place?
The 2020 edition of the Orange Bowl is still going on despite the pandemic and has already started. It began on December 7 and will end on December 13. The 16s singles final will take place Saturday and the 18s singles finals will be Sunday. They are currently scheduled for a NB 10am ET start. There is no livestream or broadcast but you can find live scoring on the official website.
Under what conditions is this 2020 edition taking place?
To allow the competition to continue, the organisers have implemented very strict health protocols. Compulsory tests for players, designated hotels, shuttles to and from the event, and everything else has been organised to ensure the health of all players.
