Reigning champion Rublev sets up Alcaraz clash at Mubadala
A first-time match will take place on Saturday at the exhibition tournament

Reigning champion Andrey Rublev set up a clash with world No 1 Carlos Alcaraz at the Mubadala World Tennis Championship exhibition – by beating Borna Coric 7-6 (4), 6-4.
Rublev and Alcaraz have not yet met on the tour – so Saturday’s encounter will be breaking new ground for them both.
Rublev has, however, played Coric several times on tour previously, and won all of those matches, so today’s straight-sets win was not exactly a surprise.
The Russian won last year’s tournament, beating Andy Murray in the final in straight sets.
