San Francisco to host 2025 Laver Cup
The USA has won the past two editions of the event, which was founded by Roger Federer
The eighth edition of the Laver Cup in 2025 will be held in San Francisco, organisers revealed on Thursday.
The United States, who have won the past two editions, will take on Europe, winners of the first four, at the Chase Center, the usual home of the Golden State Warriors NBA team, from September 19-21, 2025. This year’s event is being staged in Berlin.
“Chase Center will be the perfect setting to stage the eighth edition of the event, in a cosmopolitan city that loves its sport but has been without a top-level men’s pro tennis event for over 10 years,” Laver Cup chairman Tony Godsick said in a press release.
“Our vision for Laver Cup was to bring together the world’s top players – rivals year-round – as teammates, to honour the great legends of the past, deliver thrilling, competitive tennis and help grow the game. This announcement marks another exciting step in the Laver Cup journey.”
