IMG announce new U12 ‘Future stars’ tournament for 2022
The Tatoï club in Greece is to host a brand new ‘Future stars’ tournament for under-12s across the globe.
One of the most exclusive private clubs in the world, the Tatoï club in Greece, has teamed up with IMG, the sports marketing and management company, to launch a new tennis invitational tournament. Called the ‘IMG Future Stars Invitational Tournament’, the week-long event is focused on the next generation of tennis talent.
The Tatoï club will host the event, taking young players, and their coaches and families for a week starting April 25, 2022. The tournament will consist of under-12s from across the globe as IMG attempt to unearth the next generation of stars. IMG announced the tournament on Twitter:
In total, 48 of the best under-12s from around the world will compete; 24 boys and 24 girls. It won’t only be tennis matches for the young players, there will be panels hosted by the WTA, ATP and IMG as well as mandatory workshops for coaches, parents and players.
