Del Potro, Djokovic to clash in ‘The Last Challenge’ in Argentina in December

Tennis fans in Argentina will get another chance to see their national hero, Juan Martin del Potro, in action during an exhibition match against former rival Novak Djokovic later this year.

Del Potro and Djokovic will face off on December 1 in Parque Roca, Buenos Aires, in a match that is being billed as ‘The Last Challenge’

The two, who practiced together in New York before the US Open, have played each other 20 times on the tour with the Serb leading their head-to-head 16-4.

Del Potro’s wins all came at big events – including two Olympics (London and Rio de Janeiro), the Davis Cup semi-finals and Indian Wells.

Del Potro’s last official match also came in Buenos Aires in February 2022.
