Groups for 2024 Davis Cup Finals confirmed
The Davis Cup Finals group stages will take place across four different cities from 10 – 15 September
France and Spain have been drawn alongside Australia and the Czech Republic in a fiendishly difficult Davis Cup Finals group.
The quartet of tennis nation powerhouses were all drawn into Group B, where Spain will play host in Valencia.
The top two teams from each of the four groups will qualify for the last-eight stage of the Finals, taking place in Malaga in November.
Defending champions Italy – led by reigning Australian Open champion Jannik Sinner – also have a home advantage as they take on the Netherlands, Belgium and Brazil in Bologna in Group A.
Group C sees Germany face the USA, Slovakia and Chile – whose matches will be hosted in Zhuhai despite China not taking part in the tournament.
Finally, Great Britain will meet 2022 Davis Cup champions Canada, as well as Finland and Argentina in Group D in Manchester.
The group stage fixtures will take place between the 10th and 15th of September later this year.
With all groups being staged in either China or Europe, the Davis Cup will once again feel be impacted by such a quick turnaround after the US Open, which ends just two days earlier.
It may mean high-profile names who perform well at Flushing Meadows – such as Carlos Alcaraz and Sinner – will likely skip the Davis Cup Finals group stage.
