“Champion mindset”: Patrick Mouratoglou’s new book
The French tactician has written a book in which he recounts everything he has learned in 30 years of coaching tennis
Patrick Mouratoglou, the coach of Naomi Osaka and tennis entrepreneur (he co-founded Tennis Majors and UTS), has announced the May release of his new book: “Champion Mindset: Coach Yourself to Win at Life”.
“30 years. That’s how long it took me to become the coach I am today,” Mouratoglou said, as he introduced the book on Instagram. “Coaching champions taught me one thing: the greatest victory is the one you win over yourself. Over the years, so many players of you players and non-players alike have asked me for advice on developing the mindset needed to succeed. So I started writing.
“Today, I’m sharing everything I’ve learned in a book. It’s called: Champion Mindset. It’s a guide to help you overcome your fears, build your confidence and reach your full potential both on and off the court.”

An audio version of the book in English will also be available. On Friday, Mouratoglou published photos of himself recording his reading in a Miami studio.
Since 1996, when he founded his first academy in the Paris region, Patrick Mouratoglou has built up the world’s leading network of tennis centres. The French tactician coached Serena Williams from 2012 to 2022, with whom he won 10 Grand Slam tournaments, and many other players, including Holger Rune and Grigor Dimitrov.
He has also launched the careers of Coco Gauff and Stefanos Tsitsipas through his foundation, Champseed. He currently coaches Japan’s Naomi Osaka, the former world No 1 and winner of four Grand Slam titles, with whom he is in Miami this week.
