Ambidextrious Davidov beats Alcaraz’s brother in IMG Future Stars Invitational
As Carlos Alcaraz continues to make rapid strides among the game’s elite, his younger brother was competing at the IMG Future Stars Invitational
The IMG Future Stars Invitational Tournament has kicked off this week at the TATΟΪ Club in Athens, Greece, with former Australian Open finalist Marcos Bagdhatis as the Tournament Director and there was plenty of buzz with 24 boys and 24 girls competing in the invitation-only event.
On the first day itself, a match between two notable youngsters caught the eye of many. Jamie Alcaraz Garfia, the 10-year-old brother of Carlos Alcaraz, who became the latest player to break into the world’s top 10, was defeated by ambidextrous player Teodor Davidov, aged 11.
Davidov, who is known for hitting a forehand with his left hand and right hand and hitting serves with both hands, defeated the junior Alcaraz 6-1, 6-0.
Earlier in the week, Carlos Alcaraz and Hubert Hurkacz played an exhibition match at the IMG Future Stars and the Spaniard was joined by his younger brother on the court as well.
Here are some videos from the younger Alcaraz.
