No 10: Nottingham, second round: Harriet Dart beats Camila Giorgi 5-7, 6-4, 7-6 (3)
Dart feeds off home crowd for thrilling win
Ranked 114, few people gave Briton Harriet Dart much chance when she faced Camila Giorgi on the grass in Eastbourne.
And when she was 0-40 down on serve at 5-4 down in the third set, she was staring defeat in the face.
But with the home crowd giving her every encouragement, Dart saved all three and then held up brilliantly in the deciding tiebreak, winning it 7-3 to reach her first WTA Tour quarter-final.
“I can’t quite believe it, especially saving those match points,” she said.
