Patrick Mouratoglou expands academies to US in Georgia and Florida
The two new facilities will be the first Mouratoglou Academies in the US
Renowned coach Patrick Mouratoglou announced the expansion of his portfolio on Tuesday, with two new Mouratoglou Academies to open in the United States.
State of the art facilities in Atlanta, Georgia, and Zephyrhills, Florida, just outside Tampa, will see the USA host Mouratoglou Academies for the fourth time.
In Georgia, Mouratoglou will partner with the Atlanta International School, with four hard courts and a vow to offer “a unique experience that combines our renowned methodology with one of the top International Baccalaureate programs in the country”.
“This collaboration will provide young athletes with the perfect balance between tennis and education, preparing them for success both on the court and in life,” Mouratoglou said, in a press release.
The new facility in Zephyrhills offers “top-tier coaching and modern training amenities, including a tennis and school program with boarding options, as well as a holistic approach to physical training, mental health, and athlete development”. It will include 12 tennis courts, 8 pickleball courts and 5 padel courts.
Mouratoglou, a long-time coach of Serena Williams, opened his first academy just outside Paris in 1996, later moving to the French Riviera. Since then, new locations have opened in Dubai, (UAE) Costa Navarino (Greece), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Sardinia (Italy), Beijing (China), Naples and Tampa (Florida) and Horseshoe Bay (Texas), while there are plans to open new sites in New York (USA), Bali (Indonesia), and Melbourne (Australia).
