Kasatkina sets semi-final with Parry at Granby

Russian Daria Kasatkina, the top seed, beat Spaniard Nuria Parrizas Diaz, the No 5 seed, 6-3, 6-2 to advance to the semi-finals of the Les Championnats Banque Nationale de Granby on Thursday night.
The Russian converted six of eight break points to continue her fine form in 2022.
The 25-year-old is 35-16 on the season and is into her fifth semi-final of the season. She won the title at San Jose, where she earned wins over Elena Rybakina, Taylor Taownsend, Aryna Sabalenka, Paula Badosa and Shelby Rogers to claim her fifth career crown.
Kasatkina, ranked No 10, will face Frenchwoman Diane Parry next.
Ahead of her victory, the Russian won against Belgian Greet Minnen (6-7 (4), 6-4, 6-2) and Pole Magdalena Frech (6-3, 6-2).
Parrizas Diaz, ranked No 64, defeated Swede Rebecca Peterson (6-2, 6-1) and Harriet Dart (6-2, 6-4) in the previous rounds.
