Fritz flies into last 32 at Australian Open
Taylor Fritz beat Hugo Gaston 6-0, 6-3, 6-1 on Wednesday. He’ll play the winner of the match between Hungarian Fabian Marozsan and Argentinian Francisco Cerundolo, the No 22 seed, in the next round.
Taylor Fritz, the No 12 seed, defeated French lucky loser Hugo Gaston 6-0, 6-3, 6-1 to move into the third round of the Australian Open at Melbourne Park on Wednesday.
Fritz, ranked No 12, will now face the winner of the match between Hungarian Fabian Marozsan and Argentinian Francisco Cerundolo, the No 22 seed.
The American beat Argentinian Facundo Diaz Acosta (4-6, 6-3, 3-6, 6-2, 6-4) in the previous round.
Gaston, ranked No 97, had previously gotten the best of Spaniard Roberto Carballes Baena (6-3, 6-2, 3-6, 6-4).
