Australian Open: Watanuki through to second round
Yosuke Watanuki defeated Arthur Rinderknech 6-3, 6-3, 6-2 on Monday night and will play the winner of the match between American Sebastian Korda, the No 29 seed, and Chilean Cristian Garin in the next round

Japanese qualifier Yosuke Watanuki won against Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech 6-3, 6-3, 6-2 to reach the second round of the Australian Open at Melbourne Park on Monday night.
Watanuki, ranked No 138, will face the winner of the match between American Sebastian Korda, the No 29 seed, and Chilean Cristian Garin next.
