Australian Open: Tsitsipas books spot in last four

Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas, the No 3 seed, advanced to the last four of the Australian Open by defeating Czech Jiri Lehecka 6-3, 7-6 (2), 6-4 at Melbourne Park on Tuesday.
Tsitsipas, ranked No 4, will play Russian Karen Khachanov, the No 18 seed, next.
The Greek won against Frenchman Quentin Halys (6-3, 6-4, 7-6 (6)), Australian wildcard Rinky Hijikata (6-3, 6-0, 6-2), Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor (6-2, 7-6 (5), 6-3) and Italian Jannik Sinner, the No 15 seed (6-4, 6-4, 3-6, 4-6, 6-3) ahead of his victory.
Earlier in the tournament, Lehecka, ranked No 71, beat Croat Borna Coric, the No 21 seed (6-3, 6-3, 6-3), American wildcard Christopher Eubanks (6-4, 6-4, 3-6, 6-3), No 11 seed Cameron Norrie (6-7 (8), 6-3, 3-6, 6-1, 6-4) and Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime, the No 6 seed (4-6, 6-3, 7-6 (2), 7-6 (3)).
