Australian Open: Svitolina sweeps aside Dolehide to cruise into third round
Elina Svitolina beat Caroline Dolehide 6-1, 6-4. She’ll play the winner of the match between Renata Zarazua and Jasmine Paolini in the next round

Ukrainian Elina Svitolina, the No 28 seed, reached the third round of the Australian Open by beating American Caroline Dolehide 6-1, 6-4 at Melbourne Park.
Svitolina, ranked No 27, will play the winner of the match between Mexican Renata Zarazua and Italian Jasmine Paolini, the No 4 seed, next.
Ahead of her victory, the Ukrainian won against Romanian Sorana Cirstea (6-4, 6-4).
Dolehide, ranked No 83, won against qualifier Sara Bejlek (7-6 (5), 6-2) in the previous round of the first Grand Slam tournament of the 2025 season.
