No 11 seed Cameron Norrie defeated French wildcard Luca Van Assche 7-6 (3), 6-0, 6-3 to move into the second round of the Australian Open at Melbourne Park on Monday.
Norrie, ranked No 12, will face the winner of the match between Brazilian Thiago Monteiro and Frenchman Constant Lestienne next.
