Australian Open: Martic into second round
Petra Martic defeated Viktorija Golubic 6-3, 6-4 on Tuesday. She’ll face the winner of the match between Chinese Shuai Zhang, the No 23 seed, and Romanian Patricia Maria Tig in the next round

Croat Petra Martic advanced to the second round of the Australian Open by winning against Swiss Viktorija Golubic 6-3, 6-4 at Melbourne Park on Tuesday.
Martic, ranked No 37, will play the winner of the match between Chinese Shuai Zhang, the No 23 seed, and Romanian Patricia Maria Tig next.
