Australian Open: Marozsan ousts Cerundolo
Fabian Marozsan beat Francisco Cerundolo 7-6 (5), 6-4, 6-2 on Wednesday. He’ll face American Taylor Fritz, the No 12 seed, in the next round.

Fabian Marozsan reached the third round of the Australian Open by beating Argentine Francisco Cerundolo, the No 22 seed, 7-6 (5), 6-4, 6-2 at Melbourne Park on Wednesday.
The Hungarian is best known for upsetting Carlos Alcaraz at the 2023 Rome Masters. Now, though, Marozsan is making a run at a Grand Slam for the first time in his young career. This marks his first third-round appearance at a major.
Marozsan, ranked No 67, will next face American Taylor Fritz, the No 12 seed.
Ahead of his victory, the Hungarian edged out Croat Marin Čilić (6-1, 2-6, 6-2, 7-5).
Cerundolo, ranked No 21, beat Australian qualifier Dane Sweeny (3-6, 6-3, 6-4, 2-6, 6-2) in the previous round.
