Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor, the No 28 seed, moved into the second round of the Australian Open by overhauling Russian Roman Safiullin 2-6, 3-6, 7-6 (3), 6-4, 7-5 at Melbourne Park on Tuesday.
Griekspoor, ranked No 31, will play Frenchman Arthur Fils next.
