No 25 seed Daniel Evans moved into the second round of the Australian Open by edging out Argentinian Facundo Bagnis 6-4, 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 at Melbourne Park on Tuesday night.
Evans, ranked No 30, will face Frenchman Jeremy Chardy next.
