Australian Open: Djere advances to second round meeting against Dimitrov
Laslo Djere defeated Zizou Bergs 6-4, 1-6, 6-4, 6-1 in the first round at Melbourne Park

Serbia’s Laslo Djere defeated Belgian qualifier Zizou Bergs 6-4, 1-6, 6-4, 6-1 to advance to the second round of the Australian Open at Melbourne Park on Tuesday.
Djere, ranked No 68, will face Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov, the No 27 seed, next. This was the Serb’s first main draw win at the Australian Open after five successive first-round losses.
