Spain’s Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, the No 30 seed, advanced to the second round of the Australian Open by winning against Kazakh Alexander Bublik 6-0, 6-7 (3), 3-6, 6-4, 6-3 at Melbourne Park on Tuesday.
Davidovich Fokina, ranked No 32, will play the winner of the match between German Jan-Lennard Struff and American Tommy Paul next.
