Australian Open: Borges wins, plays Fokina in second round

Portuguese Nuno Borges advanced to the second round of the Australian Open by winning against German Maximilian Marterer 7-5, 7-6 (3), 6-2 at Melbourne Park on Monday.

Borges, ranked No 69, will play Spaniard Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, the No 23 seed, next.
