Australian Open: Borges upsets Dimitrov to reach fourth round
The Portuguese will face Russian Daniil Medvedev, the No 3 seed, in the next round
Portugal’s Nuno Borges edged out Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov, the No 13 seed, 6-7 (3), 6-4, 6-2, 7-6 (6) to reach the last 16 of the Australian Open at Melbourne Park on Saturday.
Borges, ranked No 69 in the world, will play Russian Daniil Medvedev, the No 3 seed, next. This is the first time that the Portuguese player is through to the second week at a Grand Slam.
