Zhuhai Open: Bolt moves into second round after Schwartzman retirement
Alex Bolt benefited from the abandonment of Diego Schwartzman (6-3, 4-2) on Thursday night. He’ll face top seed Karen Khachanov in the next round

Australian qualifier Alex Bolt reached the second round of the Zhuhai Open when Argentinian Diego Schwartzman retired on Thursday night at the Zhuhai Hengqin International Tennis Centre.
Bolt, ranked No 323, led 6-3, 4-2 when Schwartzman, ranked No 136, pulled out on Thursday night at the Zhuhai Hengqin International Tennis Centre.
The Australian will face top seed Karen Khachanov next.
