Winston-Salem Open: Van De Zandschulp reaches quarter-finals

Dutchman Botic van de Zandschulp, the second seed, moved into the last 8 of the Winston-Salem Open by winning against Spaniard Jaume Munar, the No 15 seed, 6-3, 6-3 at Wake Forest Tennis Complex on Wednesday night.

Van De Zandschulp, ranked No 23, will play the winner of the match between Brazilian Thiago Monteiro and Frenchman Benjamin Bonzi, the No 10 seed, next.

The Dutchman beat lucky loser Tallon Griekspoor (7-6 (5), 6-3) in the previous round of the Winston-Salem.

In the previous round of the Winston-Salem, Munar, ranked No 57, won against Chun-Hsin Tseng (6-3, 6-4).
