Dutchman Botic van de Zandschulp, the second seed, moved into the semi-finals of the Winston-Salem Open by defeating Frenchman Benjamin Bonzi, the No 10 seed, 7-6 (6), 7-6 (1) at Wake Forest Tennis Complex on Thursday night.
Van De Zandschulp, ranked No 23, will face Frenchman Adrian Mannarino next.
The Dutchman won against lucky loser Tallon Griekspoor (7-6 (5), 6-3) and Spaniard Jaume Munar, the No 15 seed (6-3, 6-3) earlier in the tournament.
In the previous rounds of the Winston-Salem, Bonzi, ranked No 50, beat Kyle Edmund (6-4, 7-6 (5)) and Brazilian Thiago Monteiro (7-5, 6-2).
