Shang defeats Navone in round two of Winston-Salem Open

Juncheng Shang moved into the last 16 of the Winston-Salem Open by beating Argentinian Mariano Navone, the No 7 seed, 7-5, 6-3 at the Wake Forest Tennis Complex on Tuesday night.

Shang, ranked No 77, will next face Italian Lorenzo Sonego, the No 10 seed.

The 19-year-old from China defeated Argentinian Francisco Comesana (6-2, 6-1) in the previous round of the Winston-Salem tournament.
