Winston-Salem Open: Nakashima through to last 16, to meet Gasquet next

American Brandon Nakashima beat Frenchman Arthur Fils, the No 7 seed, 6-7 (5), 7-6 (5), 6-2 to reach the last 16 of the Winston-Salem Open at Wake Forest Tennis Complex on Tuesday evening.
Nakashima, ranked No 72, will play Frenchman Richard Gasquet, the No 12 seed, next.
In the previous round of the Winston-Salem tournament, the 22-year-old American edged out Australian Jason Kubler (6-1, 3-6, 7-6 (3)).
