No 5 seed Jiri Lehecka moved into the semi-finals of the Winston-Salem Open by beating Australian Max Purcell 7-6 (4), 6-4 at Wake Forest Tennis Complex on Thursday evening.
Lehecka, ranked No 35, will face American Sebastian Korda, the No 3 seed, next.
Jiri Lehecka won against American qualifier Mitchell Krueger (2-6, 6-2, 6-3) and edged out German Dominik Koepfer (6-3, 3-6, 6-4) ahead of his victory.
Earlier in the tournament, Purcell, ranked No 47, defeated Italian Marco Cecchinato (6-4, 6-1), Russian lucky loser Andrey Kuznetsov (6-4, 6-1) and Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor, the second seed (7-6 (4), 7-6 (2)).
