Winston-Salem Open: Ivashka advances to last 16
Ilya Ivashka won against Peter Gojowczyk 6-4, 6-2 on Tuesday evening and will play the winner of the match between Swede wildcard Mikael Ymer and Swiss qualifier Marc-Andrea Huesler in the next round
Belarusian Ilya Ivashka, the No 11 seed, reached the last 16 of the Winston-Salem Open by beating German Peter Gojowczyk 6-4, 6-2 at Wake Forest Tennis Complex on Tuesday evening.
Ivashka, ranked No 51, will play the winner of the match between Swede wildcard Mikael Ymer and Swiss qualifier Marc-Andrea Huesler next.
In the previous round of the Winston-Salem, Gojowczyk, ranked No 111, won against Czech Jiri Lehecka (6-4, 6-3).
