Winston-Salem Open: Djere advances to last 16
Laslo Djere edged out João Sousa 4-6, 6-3, 7-6 (5) on Tuesday evening and will play Australian qualifier Jason Kubler in the next round
Serb Laslo Djere moved into the last 16 of the Winston-Salem Open by edging out Portuguese João Sousa, the No 16 seed, 4-6, 6-3, 7-6 (5) at Wake Forest Tennis Complex on Tuesday evening.
Djere, ranked No 89, will play Australian qualifier Jason Kubler next.
The Serb defeated Belgian David Goffin (6-3, 3-6, 6-3) in the previous round of the Winston-Salem.
