Winston-Salem Open: Baez advances to last four

Argentinian Sebastian Baez, the No 6 seed, won against Serb Laslo Djere, the No 4 seed, 6-3, 6-0 to reach the last four of the Winston-Salem Open at Wake Forest Tennis Complex on Friday night.
Baez, ranked No 42, will play the winner of the match between Croat Borna Coric, the top seed, and Argentinian Juan Manuel Cerundolo next.
The 22-year-old Argentinian edged out Colombian Daniel Elahi Galan (3-6, 6-4, 6-4) and Australian Aleksandar Vukic, the No 9 seed (6-4, 4-6, 6-4) in the previous rounds of the Winston-Salem tournament.
Earlier in the tournament, Djere, ranked No 34, beat Argentinian Facundo Diaz Acosta (6-3, 6-3) and American wildcard Alex Michelsen (6-4, 6-4).
