US Clay Court Championships: Galan first to advance to second round in Houston

Colombian Daniel Elahi Galan won against Chinese Zhizhen Zhang 6-2, 6-3 to move into the second round of the US Clay Court Championships at River Oaks Country Club in Houston on Monday evening.
Galan, ranked No 94, will play the winner of the match between Spanish wildcard Fernando Verdasco and Australian Jason Kubler, the No 6 seed, next.
