Gijs Brouwer defeated Aleksandar Kovacevic 6-4, 6-4 on Monday evening and will face No 4 seed John Isner in the next round
Dutchman Gijs Brouwer reached the second round of the US Clay Court Championships by defeating American Aleksandar Kovacevic 6-4, 6-4 at River Oaks Country Club in Houston on Monday evening.
Brouwer, ranked No 123, will play No 4 seed John Isner next.
