No 3-seeded De Minaur, the fourth player and first non-American to play multiple Atlanta finals, needed 91 minutes to get past Brooksby, as he broke the 21-year-old American four times from four opportunities.
Brooksby drops to 0-3 lifetime in ATP finals, while De Minaur improves to 6-4, after their first head-to-head meeting on tour.
