Canadian wildcard Milos Raonic advanced to the last 16 of the Toronto Masters by winning against Japanese qualifier Taro Daniel 6-4, 6-3 at the Aviva Centre on Wednesday evening.
Milos Raonic will face American Mackenzie McDonald next.
The Canadian, who fired 37 aces to dispatch Frances Tiafoe in three sets in his first match, powered 15 aces past Daniel and never faced a break point.

The Canadian defeated American Frances Tiafoe, the No 9 seed (6-7 (12), 7-6 (4), 6-3) in the previous round of the Rogers Cup.
In the previous round of the Canadian Open, Daniel, ranked No 115, won against Frenchman Adrian Mannarino (7-6 (5), 6-4).
